Level 1: Meeting Of A Sage And A Wolf
Written in the view of Wolfcry
It's been 2 months since these cats, no this clan, came into the area and made themselves at home. And the dark tom's been having an eye on them ever since, watching their every move carefully from across the landscape. As they rushed and ran around, almost frantically as if they were chased by a fox or any predator of the kind. They were using bushes and ferns as natural barriers, setting up burrows and dens. Digging out small hollows in certain places, a couple got padded with fresh moss which they gathered off the tree barks.
Weeks passed until they completed, uh, their hideout? I think 'camp' was the word they used for it. During their decorations, Wolfcry had to relocate his look-out for a better insight. Although everything seemed fairly finished and things calmed down, they still looked awfully lost in this forest. After they successfully settled down, they sent out groups on a regular basis to patrol the area. Trying to get an understanding of their surroundings.
However, something in particular sticked out to him or rather, someone did. A single cat, deep in color, who adventured on their own into the woods in the evening hours and generally looked like they had a voice in matters. The smokey feline got intrigued and watched him from afar as he followed him at times, curiousity eating at him. Wolf had heard from his mother about cats living in a clan and in the wilderness, cooping with the resources and prey they find out there. Although unrelated by blood, they form a family, protect each other and form a community with everyone having a task and rank within the group. The tom himself had clan blood streaming through his veins, his father being a clan member, he never met him though. Himself has been living in this forest since he could think and thus knew it inside out.
One night, Wolfcry had followed the dark cat, staying behind him for a long time and possibly less careful than usually. It was then that the tom suddenly stopped in his tracks, "You can come out now, I know you've been following me for quite a while." He turned around to face the large fluffy tom who approached slowly. "In fact, I am aware you have been watching us. And I have been watching you." The spotted cat mewed with a small glint in his amber eyes. "I guess we finally meet then." Wolf spoke in a calm voice as he observed him. "Then, I shall introduce myself in the name of my clan. I am Sagestar, leader of Slatelcan. It's a pleasure to get to know you." A proud tone in his speech as he sat down. Wolf decided to sit down as well, there was no need to be wary of this cat, he wouldn't attack. Definitely feeling no threat from him. "I'm Wolf and I've been calling these humble woods my home since my birth, I should welcome you and your clan."
